• BRANCH_INSTRUCTIONS
  Event for a branch instruction.
• BRANCH_MISSES
  Event for a branch mis-prediction.
• BUS_CYCLES
  Event for each BUS cycle.
• CACHE_MISSES
  Event for cache miss.
• CACHE_REFERENCES
  Event for cache hit.
• CPU_CYCLES
  Event for each CPU cycle.
• INSTRUCTIONS
  Event for each completed instruction.
• NO_EVENT
  Unused event because event_idx cannot be zero.
• REF_CPU_CYCLES
  Event for each reference CPU cycle.
