Enum cedar_policy_core::entities::Dereference

pub enum Dereference<'a, T> {
    NoSuchEntity,
    Residual(Expr),
    Data(&'a T),
}
Expand description

Results from dereferencing values from the Entity Store

Variants§

§

NoSuchEntity

No entity with the dereferenced EntityUID exists. This is an error.

§

Residual(Expr)

The entity store has returned a residual

§

Data(&'a T)

The entity store has returned the requested data.

Implementations§

source§

impl<'a, T> Dereference<'a, T>
where T: Debug,

source

pub fn unwrap(self) -> &'a T

Returns the contained Data value, consuming the self value.

Because this function may panic, its use is generally discouraged. Instead, prefer to use pattern matching and handle the NoSuchEntity and Residual cases explicitly.

§Panics

Panics if the self value is not Data.

source

pub fn expect(self, msg: &str) -> &'a T

Returns the contained Data value, consuming the self value.

Because this function may panic, its use is generally discouraged. Instead, prefer to use pattern matching and handle the NoSuchEntity and Residual cases explicitly.

§Panics

Panics if the self value is not Data.
